The AG-UX180 is the premium model in the 4K UX Professional Camcorder Series, featuring a 1” (effective size) high-sensitivity MOS sensor and the industry’s widest angle zoom lens (20x to 24mm at the widest angle). High Performance 4K LEICA Dicomar Lens
The AG-UX180 is one of the world’s first 1” sensor cameras (with an integrated lens) to feature 20x optical zoom. Combined with the industries widest lens (24 mm), it ensures you get the shot you need, near or far, with the ability to take your frame from 24 mm (wide) to 480 mm (telescopic) in no more than 2 seconds. The i.Zoom function (HD mode only) increases the zooming capability to a maximum of approximately 30x zoom, while still maintaining high resolution. If needed, Digital Zoom (2x, 5x or 10x) gives you super-telephoto magnification equivalent to a 300x zoom without a significant drop in light intensity.

4K Optical Image Stabilization
Using a handheld camera, encountering shooting conditions, such as low-angle, high-angle or zoomed in shots, which result in visible handshake is inevitable. The UX180 is equipped with an advanced O.I.S. system which uses the measure of small balls inside the camera to correct the stability of your image. This, paired with a 5-Axis (Roll / Pitch / Yaw / X / Y) Hybrid Image Stabilizer helps detect and correct unwanted handshake.

Variety of Recording Formats
The variety of recording modes with selectable image quality, frame rate and bit rate settings are ideal for a wide range of applications, from cinema production to online distribution. Images can be recorded with a resolution of 4K (4096 x 2160)/24p, UHD (3840 x 2160)/60p or FHD (1980 x 1080)/60p. Versatile and easy-to-use MOV (QuickTime), MP4 and AVCHD file formats are supported.

IR (Infrared) Shooting in Dark Places
The IR Cut Filter can be turned ON/OFF (allocated on the User button). When the filter is turned OFF, IR lights (sold separately) can be used for shooting in dark places.

The UX180 comes fully equipped to help provide you with the best possible colored image, featuring broadcast-grade camera image adjustments, such as 16-axis color correction. Easily match the look of any other camera you may be shooting with, and create your own scene files.

Skin Detail
Makes skin colors appear soft and beautiful. Especially effective when recording the person up close.

Master Detail
Adjusts the overall degree of contour enhancement.

8-Mode Gamma
The AG-UX180 is equipped with eight selectable gamma modes, including two Cine-Like Gammas, drawing on technologies developed for the VariCam.

ROP iPad App: Wireless Camera Operation
The AG ROP app for iPad is available free of charge from the App Store. It enables wireless remote control of the AG-UX180, with installation of a wireless module (optional AJ-WM50/AJ-WM30). In addition to a multitude of control functions, such as camera settings, picture quality adjustment, REC start/stop and menu setting, the AG ROP app allows control of the UX180's internal lens for remote operation of the i.Zoom, zoom and focus. It also displays a thumbnail view and a preview view, so sub-recording clips can be displayed as thumbnails and previewed on an iPad.
